Presenting a proud football tradition carried forward a decade into the twenty first century. Although many Teams have changed mascots throughout the years (Haleyville Bears 1926, Addison Tigers 1936), the Yellow Jackets have been a consistent source of pride for the citizens of this North Alabama hill country called Winston County. State Champion Teams in the pre-playoff years of 1953 and 1960 were awarded and following the advent of the playoffs, the 1987 Team reached the State Runner-Up spot. Regardless of the final outcome on the field, each Team and player who has worn the purple and gold have done so with distinction and pride in representing their alma mater.
